Farmer Willie’s Craft Ginger Beer revolutionized ginger beer in New England three years ago. Now, Willie’s Superbrew is set on revolutionizing the alcohol industry as a whole.
“The fact that alcohol brands don’t have to disclose ingredients or nutrition facts on packaging doesn’t make sense. It’s crazy that we don’t know what’s in our drinks,” said Nico Enriquez, founder and CEO of Willie’s Superbrew. “With our Superbrew, we’re being fully transparent – we not only tell you everything that’s in it, but we’re proud of it. And it tastes great!”
Both of Willie’s Superbrew’s initial offerings contain less than a handful of ingredients each and are all labeled on their new, colorful cans.
The Sparkling Ginger & Lemon Superbrew is made up of fresh cold-pressed ginger, brown sugar, lemon juice, and turmeric. This is the same recipe as the former Craft Ginger Beer, except nutmeg was replaced with turmeric as it’s an incredibly powerful antioxidant.
The Sparkling Pomegranate & Acai Superbrew is made up of pomegranate, acai, lemon juice, and cane sugar to create a refreshing light, tart, fruity flavor.
Both clock in at 4.5% ABV and contain, at most, 120 calories and 8.5 grams of sugar per can. Cans are available throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. You can also visit The Guild in Pawtucket, RI to sample their superbrews in the taproom.
